- This week we will continue reading Bud Not Buddy during class time. Students will be assigned some response journals for the book. They will be given time in class to complete the assignments, however, if the allotted class time is not sufficient, they will need to complete the assignments at home. This week our goal is to read Chapters 10-15.
- On Monday, 2/11 we read chapters 10 and 11 of Bud Not Buddy.
- On Tuesday, 2/12 we read chapters 12 and 13 of Bud Not Buddy.

Creative Writing/ Grammar
- This week we will be reviewing report writing for nonfiction. We will discuss the reports the students have turned in for their nation notebooks in history, to help continue to hone their writing skills.
- For creative writing we will be trying our hand at some poetry for Valentine's Day.

Bible verse challenge (optional)
- Students have been memorizing most of Romans 12 since we returned from Christmas Break.I want to send out a special challenge to any student to quote Romans 12:9-21 on February 22nd, during Bible, after Friday sing. Um yes...there could be a prize involved. Please do not discuss this with your friends...shhh its a secret... I want to see who really reads the blog. I will not announce this in class. ;)
