Sixth Grade Language Arts Update

Thursday 1/16- Students shared their personal writings aloud in class. Second part of class, students received a new spelling list for lesson 14. They met with their literature circle groups to read and discuss their novels.

Friday 1/17  For grammar and writing we had a lesson and practice session on writing effective metaphors. Students were given an assignment to look up weird careers online. After choosing a career, students wrote a paragraph describing their chosen career. Students also met in their literature circle groups to read and discuss their novels.

Boy's science- Robotics unit was introduced. Students took a quiz for the electricity and magnetism unit. Today 1/21, students will check their study guides in class and study with a partner. There will be a test on Thursday.
