Reading
- We have just finished reading and journaling from chapter 15 of Where the Red Fern Grows, Thursday there will be an open-note comprehension test for chapters 11-15.This week we should complete through chapter 16 in our reading.
- Friday is Free Reading Friday. Students go to the library to check out books and read independent reading materials on this day. Students may bring a Kindle or Nook to read during this time of day only.
Spelling and Vocabulary
- We have just started lesson 5 in spelling and Wordly Wise.
- These lessons will be due on Wednesday, 10/17.
Grammar
- We are currently working on some creative writing lessons and one of the six traits (ideas) during grammar time.
- On Thursday and Friday we will continue working on sentence variety lessons from the skills book.
