quiz will be on Friday, December 12^th

·        Spelling and Vocabulary

Spelling lesson 10 and words 3x each and Wordly Wise lesson 5 A, B, & C will be due Wednesday, December 10^th.

Spelling test for lesson 10 will also be on December 10^th.

·        Science

·        Mrs. West’s girls’ and Mrs. Carrillo’s boys’ science classes will be having an Exploravision extended planning time. On Wednesday, December ^17th,  we will be working solely on our innovation projects from 8:45-11:35am. This would be an awesome time for any parent coaches or mentors, who would like to assist in this process, to volunteer in the classroom.

·        Language Arts and Writing

There will be a DOL quiz for grammar on lesson 7 & 8 on Friday, December 12^th.  Students will be correcting their practice work in class tomorrow to prepare for the quiz. Some students are struggling in this area, so please remind your student to study their notes for this quiz.

I will also be dedicating time in writing this quarter for the innovation science fair as there is a lot of expository writing students must do for this project. Students need to bring any printed information from the internet to work on their projects to writing class each day.

·        Reading

 Our next novel study is a realistic fiction. We are currently reading Wednesday Wars, by Gary Schmidt. This week we will be reading the chapter of March and working on character sketches.
