Memory verse Luke 6:35-36 ESV version

quiz will be on Friday, December 5^th

·        Spelling and Vocabulary

We will start Spelling Lesson 10 and Wordly Wise Lesson 5 on Wednesday, December 3^rd. Spelling lesson 10 and words 3x each and Wordly Wise lesson 5 A, B, & C will be due Wednesday, December 10^th.

Spelling test for lesson 10 will also be on December 10^th.

·        Science

This quarter we are studying inventions and innovating on current inventions. Are any parents interested in becoming a mentor for the boys’ or girls’ science class innovation teams? We could use mentors who have expertise with technology and medical experience thus far. Please email me at dawncarrillo@me.com if you are interested and want to know more.

·        Language Arts and Writing

We are still working on our commas and punctuation. Tomorrow there will be a re-quiz on the punctuation quiz given last week. Students corrected that quiz in class with the substitute, so the re-quiz should go well.

I will also be dedicating time in writing this quarter for the innovation science fair as there is a lot of expository writing students must do for this project.

·        Reading

 Our next novel study is a realistic fiction. We are currently reading Wednesday Wars, by Gary Schmidt. This week we will be reading the chapter of February and working on character sketches.
