What’s Happening in Class?  

·          Bible: We continue our study on Moses this week.

Psalms 126:1-3 Memory verse for February 26^th!

1When the Lord restored the fortunes of  Zion,
    we were like those who dreamed.
² Our mouths were filled with laughter,
    our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
    “The Lord has done great things for them.”
³ The Lord has done great things for us,
    and we are filled with joy.

·         Reading: This week we will be reading and discussing chapters 10-14 of Bud, Not Buddy.

·         Language Arts: The expository writing lesson for this week will be an essay of the students’ choosing. Each student will be given a list of topics from which to choose. We will go through all the necessary steps in class to complete the essay. I postponed this lesson until today because we had many out sick last week and many students leaving during the lesson for sports.

·         Spelling and Vocabulary:  Wordly Wise lesson 11 exercises A, B, and C will be due on Wednesday, February 26th^th. The test for Wordly Wise lesson 11 will be the week of March 5^th. Spelling homework lesson 19 and words 3x each will be due on February 26^th.  The spelling test will also be on this day.

·          Science:  The boy’s science class of robotics is moving right along. The next stage of programming will begin soon. Currently the boys are programming in teams, and very soon the boys will begin to write their own individual program for the team robot to perform. We are all learning so much, and I am so astounded how quickly the students have picked up these skills! Keep watching the website for new pictures and videos; we love sharing these!
