Fifth Grade Language Arts

What’s Happening in Class?  

·         Bible:  Memory verse quiz will be this Wednesday, November 6th. The students will write the verse for their quiz.

Our verse is, “You were taught , with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds, and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-24

·         Reading: We will begin reading Crispin by Avi aloud in class. This will be a class novel study. Today we will read at least chapters 1-3.

·         Language Arts: This week I will be teaching the students how to do a book review for their individual book reports, which will be due Tuesday, November 12^th.

·         Spelling and Vocabulary: This week I will introduce Lesson 5 for Wordly Wise and Spelling lesson 9 on Wednesday, November 6^th. These lessons will be due on Wednesday, November 13^th.
