Fifth Grade Language Arts

January 28th - Today we started a new unit in writing on expository writing. We covered the material in the grammar book from pages 139-141. (If your book is an I-write edition, pages 126-128)
Students created a web of ideas of at least 6 games. They chose the game they want to explain by putting a star by it. Students were instructed how to write a great topic sentence. They were asked to write a topic sentence three different ways and choose the one they want to start their paragraph by putting a star beside it. This paper was turned in at the end of class for 25 point value.
