Fifth Grade Language Arts

What’s Happening in Class?  

·         Bible:  Memory verse quiz will be this Wednesday, November 20th. The students will write the verse for their quiz. “Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--- the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:15,16

·         Reading: We will be reading Crispin by Avi aloud in class. This week we will continue reading starting at chapter 15.

·         Language Arts: This Tuesday, students will be reviewing their portfolios, of writing, and learning to self-evaluate their own writings.

·         Spelling and Vocabulary:  On Monday, I will be going over the Wordly Wise lesson 5 section E in class just as per our regular classroom routine each week. This week we have spelling lesson 10 and words 3x each, Wordly Wise lesson 5, exercises D & E due for homework. Our weekly spelling test will take place on Thursday and Wordly Wise test will be on Wednesday because of our half day conference schedule.
